Join us Monday, September 19 at 6pm for a virtual Endorsement Meeting for the November General Election on Zoom. We will consider endorsements and hear from candidates running in a range municipal and regional elections in Alameda County who were not on the June Primary ballot. Check back in September for a complete list of races that will be under consideration .
All are welcome to attend, but you must be an East Bay Stonewall member in good standing to vote in the endorsement process. The deadline to join/renew in order to be eligible to vote is September 12th.
If you aren't yet a member, please note that membership is included when you register for East Bay Stonewall's 40th Anniversary Pride Breakfast on September 11th. Purchase a ticket for $40 and get one year of membership.
How do I know if I am a member? To see if your membership is current, login to the member portal. Your username is your email address. You can reset your password if you don't know it. If you have questions, send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Can I still vote if I am unable to attend? Yes, in fact all voting will happen through our website. You will need your login information to gain access, and you must be a member in good standing, with membership dues paid by at least seven days in advance. Candidate questionnaires will also be available on the website.
Which candidates are being invited to speak? To be eligible for endorsement, a candidate must be: running for office in (or that includes) Alameda County; a registered Democrat; and eligible for endorsement by the Alameda County Democratic Party. Only candidates who submit a completed endorsement questionnaire will be eligible. Information for candidates about the endorsement process is available here.
